University of Kentucky Joins e-GRO
The e-GRO team welcomes theUniversity of Kentucky as a new collaborator with W. Garrett Owen joining theDepartment of Horticulture in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.Garrett, an assistant professor of floriculture and specialty crop production ingreenhouses and controlled environments, has an appointment split betweenExtension, research, teaching, and service. His Extension and research effortswill serve the Commonwealth and focus on ornamental, specialty and food cropproduction systems, culture, and practices. He will be teaching anundergraduate course focused on greenhouse and controlled environmentstructures, management, and production.

W. Garrett Owen is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist of floriculture, greenhouse and controlled-environment crop production in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Kentucky. He has an appointment in research, teaching and Extension. His area of expertise is controlled environment specialty crop production; plant nutrition; production problem diagnostics; and young herbaceous perennial plant propagation.
